Interior design
in London.

Interior design for exceptional private homes. Kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living rooms shaped by considered materials, light and proportion, and delivered from first sample to final installation.

A considered interior.

ZontaHuxter designs interiors as a complete composition: colour, lighting, furniture, hardware, stone and joinery specified together, so every room holds the same quiet order. The interior is not a scheme applied after the house is finished; it is drawn, sampled and installed by the same studio, from the first material board to the last fitting.

We design kitchens, bathrooms, dressing rooms, bedrooms and principal living rooms. Surfaces, furniture and lighting are chosen for how they will be lived with, and made, where they should be, by the craftspeople who work from our drawings.

Italian design

The interiors are informed by Italian design: proportion, material, and a refusal of decoration for its own sake. A marble edge, a handle, a painted finish and a piece of furniture are treated with the same care, so the rooms feel resolved rather than dressed.

Rooms we typically design

The work typically includes kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and principal living rooms, together with the spaces that join them: staircases, hallways and entrances, house bars, communal spaces and private gardens. Each is designed as a room to be inhabited, not as decoration laid over the house.
